Jim Medlin
Brother Jim Medlin, a native son of Kings Mountain, is Past Master of East La Porte Lodge No. 358 and a member of Fairview Lodge No. 339, Wilkerson Lodge No. 760; is a 33rd Scottish Rite member, Valley of Asheville; member Oasis Shriner, Oasis Temple, Charlotte; York Rite, North Carolina Grand York Rite Body; and a National Sojourner in the Fayetteville and Raleigh chapters.
He is a graduate of Kings Mountain High School, and holds two Bachelors degrees from Western Carolina University, as well as a Masters Degree in Business Administration. He was a member of the United States Air Force from1967-71 and is a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.
He enjoyed a successful 36-year business career as an Executive Senior Vice President and National Sales Manager in the Outdoor Power Equipment Industry; and CEO of three major charitable foundations in Development and Special Services/Fund-Raising Activities; CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) Certification in Association of Fund-raising Professionals; 24 years licensed in state of North Carolina as Insurance Broker/Agent.
He is retired and currently serves as Chairman of the Grand Lodge’s Commission on Subordinate Lodges Special Activities.
